UrineVac

Use in home health settings, hospice,
hospitals or health care facilities;
great for "no-lift" facilities.

The Urinevac© bedpan was invented by a working
Registered Nurse with over thirty years of nursing,
ten of which were spent in cath labs.

She has stated:
"Over those years, I have seen countless "doo-dads" introduced to the cath lab.
(Just how many non-reimbursable closure devices do we need, anyway)?

The companies and their vendors spend hundreds of thousands of dollars
and hours convincing us why we need their new doo-dad. But we cath lab
nurses are still subjecting our female bed bound patients to pans designed 30
years ago that cause urine to run up their backs. Or, worse yet, we insert
urinary catheters for convenience.(Admit it, we are all guilty).

It is definitely time for a bedpan upgrade for female urination.
With the new Urinevac© female bedpans we can stop wasting time
and energy lifting, turning and changing the linens".

smaller than the Traditional bedpan (left), or the

due to it's unique siphoning system, virtually
eliminating lifting, turning and spills.

A bedpan or bed pan is an object used for the toileting  of a bedridden patient in a health care facility or home. Many diseases can confine a patient to bed, necessitating the use of bedpans, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, apoplexia cerebri and dementia. Additionally, many patients may be confined to a bed temporarily as a result of a temporary illness, injury, or surgery, thereby necessitating the use of a bed pan.

Metal bedpans can cause problems, because steel, which they are usually constructed of, may be cold, hard and uncomfortable. Also, the supporting area is very small and prolonged use can cause pressure ulcers. To solve these problems the Urinevac women's bedpan is uniquely designed for the female patient as an ergonomic, self emptying bedpan. The deepest part of the pan is at the back, where the urine flows to from the recumbant female avoiding spills and  the need of lifting or turning the patient .
