I haven't been able to get this idea out of my mind since I first saw our PACU nurses using suction with a basin.  I thought it was an idea that needed to be shared with all healthcare workers. To the naysayers, I say, "WHY NOT?" as a PACU nurse said to me), "why should we have to use bedpans that don't work?
